    Australian Antarctic Territory 1972 (19th Dec) Australia 7c Xmas stamp SG 499 (Ref. 1) on plain cover and cancelled in black 'MAWSON / A.N.A.R.E. / 19DE72 / AUST-ANTARCTIC' Milner C1c (Ref. 2) with purple straight line 'ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION' and also in purple 'PRINCE CHARLES / MOUNTAINS / A.N.A.R.E.' and used to Glenelg South Australia

    Stamps of Australia were used from the Australian Antarctic Territory bases before 27th March 1957 (Refs 1 & 2) and remained valid for use there after the introduction of Australian Antarctic Territory issues.
    Australian Antarctic Territory issues are also valid for use in Australia where they are put on sale for a limited period when first issued (Ref. 1).
    I attest that the 'roo stamps(or any stamps for that matter) in my stock have not been reperfed,reperfinned(if a perfin),regummed(if mint or CTO) or gassed while in my possession. Furthermore I assert that these 'roo stamps have never been so treated because I bought them so long ago before these things were prevalent and/or I bought them from impeccable sources.
