    Description

    CHENOWTH SCORPIAN
    Type / Model Sand Rail
    THE REAL DEAL VERY RARE
    C
heck out this auction on a real computer screen or tablet, not a phone, to best view all the pics !
    Not sure exactly what
    year
it was built but maybe someone can tell me by checking out the ID # or chassis number pic posted below.
Almost ready to race in some Vintage Class races !
    This Genuine
    Chenowth
Sand Rail belonged to an old Tuscan Arizona desert racer that passed away.
Its the real deal and best I can find, it was built back in the 80’s early 90’s maybe? It has
    a lot
of cool technology, crazy paint work and Hi-end brands on it from that era. It does run, but from sitting so long, it will need at least a tuning, brakes and clutch adjustment right away (or clutch).
It obviously looks like it has been used for Racing only purposes
back in the day, then had some lights
    etc
    added to make it street
legal after its era was up.
    The motor is a built
    vw
    motor, a
    1800cc.
    In addition to
    4 wheel
disc set up on the brakes, there are also some
    Oneil
pedals, cutting brakes, oil cooler, and much more.
    Check
    out the pics.
Center steering up front was cutting edge
    years
    back and still works great.
Triple shocks out back, and front with long travel of course. If I put gas in the tank, after a few
    try’s
of the starter switch, the motor fires right up and sounds wicked. Trans feels good, clutch either needs adjustment
    or replaced soon.
She has IronMan Ivan Stewart style suspension seats but are faded & tired form the Arizona sun. Have a similar pair of perfect matching pair of seats that go with it, to install it.
The tube frame is wrapped in fiberglass & alloy panels, some held on by
    dzus
fasteners. Check out the matching Ice Cooler too!
    I’ve
had gas in the fuel cell, started it, idles fine and sounds good, sounds healthy. Drove it a few times, lots of torque and fast as hell. Needs brakes and the you have to push the clutch as far down as possible to be able to shift etc.
It took me a lot to finally get her titled. Comes with a clean Arizona title now.
    Its
not 100% road or race ready, but in a weekend with a few tweaks and repairs,
    I’d
    say
    its
ready for the dunes or drive around
    town.
