Description

Let this E-mu Audio Production Studio turns your old computers into a high quality sampler with 20-bits ADC/DAC converters (117 dB dynamic range) combined with a stereo digital audio card for hard disk recording, and a multichannel DSP effects processor and digital mixer.
E-mu Audio Production Studio consists a PCI-based audio card (E-Card) provides 64 voices of sampling, multitrack hard disk recording and quality, real-time DSP effects. Included is a drive bay (E-Drive) input/output component that provides convenient left/right channel 11/44-inch inputs, a headphone jack and S/PDIF connections, all accessible from the front of the PC. The I/Os can all be used simultaneously. There are four mono analog (balanced) inputs, two analog (balanced) outputs, two stereo digital (S/PDIF) inputs, and two stereo digital (S/PDIF) outputs.
Connection:
Between the CD-Drive and E-Card there is a digital (electric) cable a so called 2-Pin SPDIF Digital CD-ROM Audio Cable.
Between the E-Card and E-Drive is a 20 Pol flatcable with 1.27mm partition and 20 pol headers (DIN41651) in both ends.
Between the E-Card and the Midi Bracket there is a 15 pol flatcable with 1.27mm partition and a 16 pol flatcable header (DIN41651) with a 15 pol DSub (DB15F) in the other end.
*Included generic 15 pol flatcable is 3-in in length. Buyers can get longer flatcable for their Midi/Game port bracket installation. Please message the seller for such concern.

With v1.2 that came with APS second package had 1 CDs with Steinberg Cubasis AV for APS v1.6, WaveLab 1.6 (note not Lite), SoundFont Librarian v1.0, Vienna SoundFont Studio v2.3.
v1.5 and v1.6 Did not come with any package but can be downloaded from E-mu website under Legacy Products.
*Custom driver: kX Project's free kX audio driver allows the user to use the DSP horsepower not only for routing and effects but also to run soft synths on the DSP hardware. There's a drum synth, an analog synth, and a Hammond organ simulation. All free. All running on the APS and using zero CPU bandwidth.
Minimum System Requirements:
E-mu recommends at least a 200MHz CPU with 64 MB of RAM, running at a video resolution of 1,024x768
