Locomotives of the World Stamp Album - Thomas Taber - Nearly Complete - EC (CE)

Description

This is a hardcover 6-ring binder Locomotives of the World Stamp Album by Thomas Taber III published as a subscription set in the 1980's by the Stamp Collectors Society of America.  All the pages are here,  366 pages plus an index.  It is in excellent condition.  There is some light age related yellowing of most pages. Included are many of the letters addressed to the original owner that came with the stamps.
This book contains many informational pages about the railroads and locomotives represented by the stamps.  About half the pages hold stamps mounted in protective sleeves.  Only 6 pages are not complete (255-256, 267-268, 269-270).  Although it is titled "Locomotives of the World", the USA is well represented.
I'm not about to count the stamps in this album but according to the included letters there were a dozen locos represented in each shipment and the subscription went on for 4 years.  In most cases each loco was represented by 2 stamps.  Since about half the pages have 4 stamps on them that would mean there are around 700 stamps in this collection.
