Sand Rail - mid engine 2.3 L ford

Description

this is a mid engine sand rail with a 2.3 L ford "pinto" engine. the engine sounds like it has a performance camshaft , has some chrome dress up and a Holley 2 bbl carburetor. the transaxle is a 4 speed vw IRS thats been modified to use corvair axles, U joints and outer hub assemblies with aftermarket vw type disk brakes, and its also equipped with cutting brakes.
it has a brand new battery, new fuse block, new headlights, functioning brake lights and turn signals. the tires both front and rear are new, wheels have recently been sandblasted & powder coated to have a vintage magnesium look. this buggy has a vw king pin type front suspension with an aluminum beam to reduce weight and also brand new tie rods & ends. the king and link pins are in good shape and wont need to be rebuilt for a while.
this rail was even built with a retro / rat rod - rail type theme. one of a kind.
