, or "make a reasonable offer". This vintage railroad pinback measures approximately 1 1/4" across, and still retains its original paper label on the reverse. The label reads:
"Sunset Central Route"
, with the label's interior reading
"Oil Burning Locomotives"
, accompanied by a railroad track and a "setting sun". The pin's front is dated "1910" and says
"A. & M."
, which is accompanied by a red and white flag. The pinback's rim states the pin's maker, "Jones-Redan" (or something close to that) and is followed by the pin maker's location, Houston, Texas. A simply outstanding piece of vintage railroadiana, and well over a century old!
Condition:
this pinback exhibits light-moderate age spotting on the celluloid front. The pin's rim is fine! The paper label is also fine as well! As you can see, this vintage advertising pin for Southern Pacific's Sunset Route
displays great!!
